David Strom PhotoDavid Strom is a Senior Policy Fellow at the Minnesota Free Market Institute. From 2007 to 2008 he was President of the Free Market Instiitute. From 2004 to 2007 he was the President of the Taxpayers League of Minnesota. He is a graduate of Carleton College, and holds a Masters Degree in Political Science from Duke University. He has taught political philosophy at Duke University, North Carolina State University, Carleton College, and the University of St. Thomas. He is a fellow of the Claremont Institute.

 

He hosts a weekly radio show on Saturday Mornings on AM-1280 in Minneapolis-Saint Paul. Podcasts available at Townhall.com and iTunes

He also has a weekly column on Townhall.com. He appears bi-weekly on KSTP-TV's Sunday public affairs program At Issue and is an occasional panelist on Twin Ciites Public Television's Almanac.

David's work at the Taxpayers League began in 1997 when the organization was formed as a 501(c)4 non-profit, and he became President in January of 2004. The Taxpayers League is one of the largest and most successful state-based advocacy organizations in the country, with a budget approaching $1 million a year collected entirely through donations.
